HARRISONBURG, Va. — Butler graduate Annie Lowry, a senior forward on the James Madison University women's soccer team, was named Colonial Athletic Association's Player of the Week.

Lowry scored the game-winning goals in victories over American University 3-0 and Navy 2-0. She also assisted on the other two goals against American.

McMURRAY — Rob McClellan of Butler Country Club tied for second place with Gordon Vietmeier of The Club at Nevillewood with scores of 20 at the Robert W. Murphy Stableford Championship at Rolling Hills Country Club Monday.Using the Stableford scoring method (-1 for bogey, 0 for par, +2 for birdie, +5 for eagle and +8 for double eagle), McClellan registered a 13 in the first round and a 7 in the second round. Jonathan Clark of Sleepy Hollow Golf Club was the winner with a score of 28.John Aubrey Sr. of Aubrey's Dubs Dred tied for 14th (5) and Treesdale's Joe Boros tied for 25th (1) out of 50 participants.Aubrey tied for fourth place in the senior event with a 5.

CANONSBURG — Jim Emrick of Butler improved to 2-0 as a professional heavyweight boxer with a first-round knockout of Aaron Harris (1-2) Saturday night at the Southpointe Iceoplex.Harris fell to the canvas after a sharp body punch from Emrick.
