Norma M. Sabin

Norma M. “Nor-Nor” McCandless Sabin of Harrisville passed away on Wednesday. She was 79.

Born on Jan. 11, 1936, in New Hope, Cherry Township, she was the beloved daughter of the late Samuel W. and Florence Blair McCandless.

Norma married Frank G. Sabin on Jan. 16, 1954, and then moved to Harrisville where she was a resident for more than 61 years.

Norma was employed by Magnetics, a division of Spang Industries, in Sandy Lake for more than 30 years, retiring in 1998.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Frank; two sons, Sam, and his partner, Yvette Ochoa, of New York City, and Stan of Harrisville; one daughter, Stephanie Campbell and her husband, Steve, of Grove City; and four grandchildren complete the family circle, Erin Sabin of Raleigh, N.C., Chad Campbell of Lewistown, Pa., Christa Campbell of Grove City and Caitlin Campbell, a student at the University of Pittsburgh.

She also is survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Frank G. Sabin II, and one sister, Cora McCandless Grossman.

SABIN — In accordance with the wishes of Norma M. “Nor-Nor” McCandless Sabin, who died on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015, there will be no public visitation of funeral services.Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels, 819 Columbia Ave., Grove City, PA 16127 or a charity of the donor's choice.Arrangements were handled by Cunningham Funeral Home in Grove City.
