Donald Eugene Stewart, 85, of Saxonburg passed away quietly Thursday at his home.

Born April 23, 1931, he is the son of Harry E. Ketler and Ella Pearl Book Ketler.

Donald married Phyllis Jean Lucas Stewart Jan. 9, 1952 in Natrona Heights.

A 1949 Butler High School graduate, Donald was a truck driver for Thrower Concrete for 25 years. Later, he owned and operated his own truck for 16 years. After retiring, he worked part-time for Saxony Golf Course.

He was a member of F&AM for 48 years. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing with his friend, Tim Walters.

Donald is survived by his wife, Phyllis Jean Lucas Stewart of Worthington; his son, Donald B. Stewart and his wife, Laura Sue, of Kittanning; his daughter, Susan Lynn Stewart Spencer and her husband, Randy, of Sigel, Pa.; his sister, Verna V. Spohn and her husband, Chester, of Herman; his sister-in-law, Madora Crooks of Apollo; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Ketler; his mother, Pearl Ketler; and his sister, Eleanor Kennedy.

STEWART — Private services for Donald Eugene Stewart, who died Thursday, April 20, 2017, were conducted Friday. Interment took place at Greenlawn Burial Estates and Mausoleums.Donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
