Familiar faces find victories in season opener
BUFFALO TWP — Familiar faces found themselves in victory lane during Lernerville Speedway’s season opener Friday night.
A.J. Flick and Tyler Dietz won on Opening Night for the second consecutive year, taking feature wins in the Sprint and Pro Stock divisions, respectively. Defending track champion John Garvin Jr. won the Late Model feature and eight-time track champion Brian Swartzlander captured the Modified feature for his 101st career win.
There were 94 cars in the pits.
Flick started on the outside of the front row and grabbed the lead early in the Sprint feature. Garvin also started on the outside of the front row in his Late Model win. Swartzlander started up front as well. Dietz took the lead on a restart with nine laps left in the Pro Stock feature.
Fab4 racing continues Friday at Lernerville. The grandstands open at 5 p.m. with racing getting under way at 7:30 p.m.
