PETROLIA — Harvest Community Church, Petrolia Valley Campus, 118 N. Fairview Main St., will host a yard sale and flea market from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.

The event is a fundraiser for Fairview Park.

The Butler County Historical Society will sponsor the Friday Butler BlueSox game against the Richmond River Rats, and it will hold its annual wine and cheese event in the banquet room at Pullman Park.The society will host a “Meet the Owners” evening and will have a small display of Pullman Park photographs and memorabilia on hand. Butler Chapter 857 of the Experimental Aircraft Association will offer free airplane rides from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday to youths 8 to 17 years old at the Butler County Airport.Parental and guardian permission forms will be available at the airport. MIDDLESEX TWP — Middlesex Presbyterian Church, 116 Church Road, will be hosting its annual Strawberry Festival at 5 p.m. Friday. Sandwiches, salads and a variety of desserts will be served.

ZELIENOPLE — All Seneca Valley teachers and students currently in grades 7 and 8 are invited to attend a free summer kickoff event from 8 to 10 p.m. Friday at the Zelienople Pool in Community Park.There will be a professional DJ, swimming, games, free snow cones and popcorn and prizes.The event is sponsored by the Connoquenessing Valley Communities for Youth, a program of Grace Youth and Family Foundation.
