Joseph “Abe” Abrams, 82, of Butler, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023.

He was born in Butler on April 8, 1941, and was the son of the late Richard Sr. and Mary (Schultis) Abrams.

Joseph went to Gannon College for a bachelor’s degree in accounting and then to Case Western University to receive a master’s degree in business and personnel.

Joseph served his country honorably in the U.S. Army for seven years and returned from South Korea as a captain.

He worked at Westinghouse Electric Corporation as the manager for human resources.

Joseph was known for being a good friend, neighbor and husband.

He was a member of Local Chapter 37 and other chapters of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors. He also was a member of National Association of Rock Garden Society.

Joseph was the beloved husband of Patricia (Davidowski) Abrams for 39 years; and the brother of Richard (Kathy) Abrams Jr.

Abe also leaves behind his niece, Stephanie; his nephew, Douglas; and his precious cat, Sammi.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Maria Abrams.

ABRAMS — Services and burial were held privately for Joseph “Abe” Abrams, who died Sunday, April 16, 2023.

Arrangements are through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Butler County Humane Society.
