Loran Veith Jr.

The Rev. Loran William Veith Jr., known as “Bill” or “Don Guillermo,” was surrounded by loving family members, as he passed on to his eternal home on April 15, 2023.

He was born May 31,1932, in Dayton, Ohio, to Ruth and the Rev. Loran W. Veith Sr. They moved to Harmony.

He graduated from Geneva College and Grace Theological Seminary.

He married Margie Winters in 1954, and in 1959, the couple began missionary service in Guatemala. Bill provided a strong foundation for a self-sustaining radio ministry, serving the Maya Indigenous groups. After serving 29 years in Guatemala, the Veiths returned to the U.S., where Bill pastored Spanish speakers in San Antonio and Orlando.

He is survived by three sisters; his wife, Margie; and his four children.

VEITH — Visitation for the Rev. Loran William Veith Jr., who died Saturday, April 15, 2023, will be held from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday at Grace Church of Harmony.

Services will follow at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with Pastor Peter Everett officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of A. CARL KINSEY-RONALD N. VOLZ FUNERAL HOME in Zelienople.
