Thomas J. Rodgers, 52, of Chicora died early Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Butler on Feb. 25, 1959, a son of Dorothy Fontaine Rodgers and the late Herman M. “Chick” Rodgers Jr.

An electrician, Tom was a partner in the family business, Hey Electric Co., Butler. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 5 for more than 20 years.

He was a member of the St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Center Township, the National Rifle Association and the Chicora Moose Lodge.

He is survived by two children, Mark Rodgers and his wife, Breane, of Fenelton and Stephanie Rodgers of West Sunbury; his companion, Pamlyn Allen of Chicora; his mother, Dorothy Fontaine Rodgers of Butler; three brothers, Frank (Gayle) Rodgers; Rex (Sherry) Rodgers and Mark (Esther) Rodgers, all of Butler; two sisters, Theresa (Kirk) Fox of Butler and Tina (Greg) Glenn of West Sunbury; one sister-in-law, Patricia Rodgers of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Rodgers; three brothers, Herman Rodgers III, and James and David Rodgers; and one sister, Gayle Rodgers.

<B>RODGERS</B> — Friends of Thomas J. Rodgers, who died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the<B> Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 1660 N. Main St. Ext., Center Township, Butler. The Rev. James Salberg, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Butler.The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the United Cerebral Palsy charity.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
