Ronald Reich
Ronald David Reich, 81, of Portersville, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023, while under the care of Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born on Jan. 11, 1942, he was the son of the late Harry Reich and Betty Gillian Reich.
Ron proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force. He was Catholic by faith. He worked for 35 years until his retirement at Schroeder’s in McKees Rocks, never taking a day off or using a sick day.
Ron was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and biking. He had a strong work ethic and enjoyed working on his farm and cutting and splitting firewood for use in heating his property. Above all, he was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Theresa “Terry” Totin Reich, who he married Jan. 16, 1965; his children, Ronald (Lora) Reich of Latrobe, Robert Reich of Portersville, Daniel (Lynnette) Reich of Slippery Rock, James (Michelle) Reich of Prospect and Joseph (Jessalynn) Reich of Prospect; his grandchildren, Alicia, Christopher, Emma, Braiden, Dylan, Aiva, Jacob, Peyton, Trenton, Maddox, Camden and Easton; his great-grandchild, Wyatt; his sister-in-law, Mary Louise Reich; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Reich.
REICH — Friends of Ronald David Reich, who died Friday, April 14, 2023, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Christopher at the Lake Church-St. Faustina Parish, 229 N. Franklin St., Prospect. Everyone please meet at church.
Ron will be laid to rest with full military honors at Crown Hill Cemetery in Prospect.
