Anna Stariat

Anna Stariat, 90, of Lyndora passed away Monday at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler.

Born June 13, 1923, in Ukraine, she was the daughter of Stephen and Faye Zaluba Kobziak.

She married Dmytro Stariat on Feb. 14, 1946, in Germany. They immigrated to the United States in April 1951. He preceded her in death on May 1, 1995.

She was a member of St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church in Lyndora.

Surviving are her twins, Peter (Reinell) Stariat and Natalie (Stephen) Kitzko, both of Butler; her three grandchildren, Jonathon Stariat, Courtney (Michael) Stariat Foster and Andrew Kitzko, and her three great-grandchildren, Haley Stariat, Matthew Foster and Gabrielle Foster.

Stariat— The friends of Anna Stariat, who passed away Monday, March 24, 2014, will be received at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Parastas services will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church in Lyndora, with the Rev. Douglas Lorence, pastor, officiating. Internment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Butler.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
