Margaret (Peg) Foster Schelien, 94, of Cabot and formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away Tuesday at the Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

Born March 3, 1922, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late James B. and Elizabeth Carr Foster.

Peg was a 1940 graduate of New Castle High School. She held a degree in nursing from the University of Pittsburgh. She worked as a hostess for the Capital Airlines and as a nurse for the Gulf Oil Corporation in Pittsburgh.

Peg was active in occupational health nursing and an active member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She was also active in the Pittsburgh Lutheran Chorus and the Gulf Annuitant Club.

Peg was the beloved wife of the late William J. Schelien for 44 years, mother of Elizabeth (Betsy) Schelien of Kent, Wash., and sister of James B. Foster Jr.
