If I could be there today

I would be eighty-four,

But God rang my number

And said, “Bob come, your time is up, there is no more!”

We didn’t say good-bye, but you saw me for a few moments,

And God came and got me when I was all alone.

I am watching over all of you,

So visit my grave or talk to me when you can,

I will hear you from above.

I am free, happy and very busy.

I work now for God

As a gardener, and I plant “Heavenly Geraniums”

The biggest most beautiful plants that’re up here.

When it’s your time to come,

Just tell them at the gate to take you where the geraniums are,

I’ll be waiting to see you all!
