Harrisville Community Band will perform its annual spring concert at 7 p.m. Friday in the Harrisville Fire Hall. The band will play a variety of songs including “Tritsch Tratsch Polka,” “If Thou Be Near,” “Aladdin,” “Hootenany” and “An American Spectacular.” Jim Jaskowak, Grove City Middle School music teacher and resident of Jackson Center, directs the band. Admission is free. The volunteer firefighters will have refreshments for sale by donation.
The Tornado Big Band will perform at the jazz festival April 26 at Alleghey-Clarion Valley High School. The newly formed Junior High Jazz Band also will play.
Allegheny RiverStone Center for the Arts hosts “Songs of the Spirit” with soprano Kathy Soroka and members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra at 3 p.m. Sunday in Lincoln Hall, 92 Palmer St., Foxburg.
