Marilyn L. Brunn Carlson Gwin, 84, of Connoquenessing Township, passed away Tuesday morning, April 11, 2023, at UPMC Passavant Hospital.

Born in Pittsburgh on Feb. 8, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Lois Chaney Brunn.

She was a Christian.

Marilyn retired as a clerical secretary for the many state hospitals in the area.

She enjoyed reading, and watching birds. She loved her many dogs, but most of all, she loved her family.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Waymond A. Gwin, who passed away on Oct. 16, 2003; and one son, Steve Carlson.

She is survived by one daughter, Debra (Dale) Neely; one son, Ronald Carlson; two sisters, Jean Cooper and Nancy Ringelberg; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, with the sixth expected in August; and one daughter-in-law, Shelley Carlson.

GWIN — Friends and relatives of Marilyn L. Brunn Carlson Gwin, who died Tuesday, April 11, 2023, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at A. CARL KINSEY-RONALD N. VOLZ FUNERAL HOME, 114 W. Spring St., Zelienople.

Private burial will be held Saturday in Evans City Cemetery.
