Carol L. Ritchey Snyder, 67, of New Sewickley Township, formerly of the Mars/Valencia area, passed away on Wednesday morning at LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born in Pittsburgh on Feb. 8, 1946, she was the daughter of Virginia Barto and the late Earl Barto.

A talented hair dresser, Carol owned Carol's Headquarters in Cranberry Township for many years.

She was a member of the Valencia Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her husband, Franklin C. Snyder Sr.; two daughters, Robin Ritchey-Roy and her husband, Everett, of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Dana Muth and her husband, Raymond, of Butler; her mother, Virginia Barto; one brother, David “Hoot” Barto (Judy Burger); and one sister, Pamela Barto Ogle (Kevin), all in Florida; two stepsons, Franklin C. Snyder Jr. and Evan Thomas Snyder; six grandchildren; 9 step-grandchildren; and one step-great-granddaughter.

SNYDER — Friends of Carol L. Ritchey Snyder, who died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St., Valencia, with the Rev.
