Pat Frank Morris, 88, of Bedford Road, West Middlesex, Shenango Township, Mercer County, passed away at 6 a.m. Wednesday at VA Butler Healthcare.

Pat was born Feb. 26, 1927, in Clay County, W.Va., to the late Frank and Mae James Morris. He married Mildred Lucille Mullins on Aug. 20, 1948, and she preceded him in death on Sept. 27, 2008.

Pat was the retired owner of Pat F. Morris and Son Trucking of Portersville.

He was also a veteran, having served his country in the U.S. Air Force in the Philippine Islands where he was a tail gunner in a B17.

He always enjoyed farming.

Surviving him are his daughter, Sandra Wilson and her husband, James, of Pulaski, Pa.; his son, Pat F. Morris Jr. and his wife, Helen, of Prospect; his brother, Charles Morris of Spencer, W.Va.; three sisters, Ginny Chapman of Servia, W.Va.; Marie Tucker of Huntington, W.Va., and Rebecca Johnson of Zanesville, Ohio; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

MORRIS — Visitation for Pat Frank Morris, who died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Smith Funeral Home, 3126 Main St., West Middlesex.The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Wade Barto, pastor of the United Methodist Church of West Middlesex, will officiate.Interment will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery, New Bedford, Pa.
