Vincent Phillip Gianfrancesco Sr., 95, of Cranberry Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was the husband to his loving wife of 55 years, Barbara (Sheriffs); and the father of Mark (Traci) of Athens, Ga., Mary Grace Brooks (Tim) of Lincolnton, Ga., Vincent Jr. (Jodi) of Cranberry Township, and Nicole of Cranberry Township.

He was a member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church.

He was the grandfather to nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his sister, Mary (Frank) Dispenza; his sister-in-law, George Ann Campbell; his brother-in-law, William Powell; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

He was a carpenter by trade, and after his service with the U.S. Navy, Vince went to work with Navarro Corporation for 40 years.

During retirement, he enjoyed golfing, bowling, spending time at Seneca Lake, and traveling cross country in his RV. He put his family and friends first and could always be found working on a project for his family or helping out a neighbor. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren’s activities and sporting events.

He had a passion for sports and loved watching the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins.

He was very loving and will be truly missed by all of his family and those who knew him. He was an inspiration to everyone who met him.

GIANFRANCESCO — Visitation for Vincent Phillip Gianfrancesco Sr., who died Saturday, April 8, 2023, will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at BOYLAN-GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church-Divine Grace Parish, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township.

He will be laid to rest at Christ Our Redeemer Catholic Cemetery with military honors.
