George W. Kramer, 85, of Spring Church, formerly of Gibsonia, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023, in QLS-West Haven Manor, Apollo.

Born May 6, 1937, in Glenshaw, he was a son of the late Frank Kramer and Marcella (Fuhr) Kramer.

George was a 1955 graduate of North Catholic High School and proudly served our country with the United States Air Force.

He owned and operated Kramer Construction in Richland Township for many years.

George loved dancing, and would go out three times a week with his significant other, Mary. He watched televised religious services on a daily basis and liked tinkering with cars and playing dominoes.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward, John, and Paul Kramer.

He is survived by his companion of 17 years, Mary McIlwain; son, George Peace of Apollo; daughters, Dorothy “Dot” (Dave) Conway of Tarentum, Frances (Kevin) Kilgore of Kittanning, Donna (Ron) Frain of Apollo, Jayne (Dave) Talmage of Apollo and Roseanne Clemons of Tarentum; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Tony (Joanne) Kramer of Sarver and Richard (Patricia) Kramer of Wellsboro; and nieces and nephews.

KRAMER — Friends of George W. Kramer, who died Monday, April 3, 2023, will be received from 10 a.m. until the blessing service at 12 p.m. Thursday in CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 100 Owens View Ave., Apollo, with Father James Loew, O.S.B., officiating.

Following the services, military honors will be accorded by the Vandergrift Veterans Honor Guard.
