Republican candidates for several state and county races in the May 16 primary will speak at a free Butler County Republican Committee meet-and-greet event Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at American Legion Post 778, 150 Legion Memorial Lane, Butler Township.

Voters will have the opportunity to meet and talk with the candidates throughout the afternoon. Each candidate will address the audience beginning at 2 p.m.

Scheduled to attend the event are Supreme Court judge candidates Carolyn Carluccio and Patricia McCullough; Superior Court judge candidates Harry Smail and Maria Battista; Commonwealth Court judge candidates Megan Martin and Josh Prince; County Common Pleas Court judge candidates Maura Palumbi and Terri Schultz; and county commissioner candidates Leslie Osche, Kim Geyer, Ryan Covert, Zach Scherer and Joseph Peter King.
