Inez M. (Spahr) Gillette

Inez M. (Spahr) Gillette, 89, of Penn Township passed away peacefully Tuesday, after a brief illness.

She was blessed with a 60 year marriage to her husband, Frank, before his death in 2012.

Inez was a department manager at Montgomery Ward for a number of years. The main focus of her life was caring for her home and family.

Inez will be remembered for pitching in to help others, often behind the scenes.

She enjoyed retirement and traveling with her husband, trips to the casino, and sharing in the lives of her children and grandchildren.

Inez was the loving mother of Frank (Ginnie) Gillette of Cincinnati, Ohio, Joseph (Maria) Gillette of West View, and Margaret (Mark) McGinley of Sewickley.

She was the beloved grandmother of Lauren (Avery) Hautzenroeder, Michael Gillette, Katie, Mark, Maggie and Hannah McGinley, and Nicholas and Benjamin Gillette. She was the loving great-grandmother of Zoe Hautzenroeder.

Inez was the sister of Maxine Krause and Carol Ann Longo and the late William Spahr, Margaret Reynolds and Robert Spahr.

GILLETTE — The family of Inez M. (Spahr) Gillette, who died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, will welcome friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Schellhaas Funeral Home, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. Blessing services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Butler County Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.Please offer condolences at www.schellhaasfh.com.
