Jane C. Ellis, 85, of Zelienople, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023, while under the care of UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born Dec. 21, 1937, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Regis Francis and Grace M. Eckhardt Schweinberg.

Jane was a volunteer for Family House for 30 years. She also volunteered with the Cranberry Public Library.

In her free time, she enjoyed reading and gardening. She also enjoyed skiing and golfing with her late husband, Bill.

Jane leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Quinn (Laura) Ellis; her daughter-in-law, Susette Ellis; and her grandson, Jake Ellis.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her husband, William James Ellis, who passed away on July 6, 2013; her brother, Ronald Schweinberg; and her son, Brett Ellis.

ELLIS — Friends of Jane C. Ellis, who died Thursday, April 6, 2023, will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at noon Wednesday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with the Rev. Susie Esseck officiating.
