Raymond L. Stephenson

Raymond L. Stephenson, 83, of West Sunbury passed away at 6:15 a.m. Sunday at the Grove City Medical Center following an extended illness.

He was born Feb. 21, 1927, in Cherry Township. He was the son of the late Edward Vern Stephenson and Mary Jane McCaslin Stephenson.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was a member of West Sunbury Presbyterian Church.

He was a Jack-of-all-trades. He had been employed as a welder at Pullman Standard and had operated a towing service. He and his wife also worked together doing auto painting.

He enjoyed roller skating.

He is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Roger) DeLong of Johnsonburg, Pa., and Debra Kovalcik of Saxonburg; and one son, Raymond V. (Lori) Stephenson of Grove City. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Twila J. Stephenson, who died Feb. 14, 1999; and two brothers.

<B>STEPHENSON</B> — Friends of Raymond L. Stephenson, who died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Tuesday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Chaplain Pat Sawaya, of Trinity Living Center, officiating. Burial will be in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
