The

Butler County Historical Society has received a $10,000 general operating support grant from the Pennsylvania Historical Museum Commission.The grant, which matches funds from Butler County Commissioners, assists with payroll and office expenses for the current fiscal year. Similar funding has been received in past years.The society also received a Grassroots Grant of $5,000 from Community Connections, an initiative of Pittsburgh 250.The society will use the funding to acquire the Jay Bee Model Circus, a hand-carved, wooden, model circus created by local artist Jimmy Bashline.The society plans to acquire, preserve and exhibit the model at the Butler County Heritage Center this spring.———Winners at the
