The Art Center, 344 S. Main St., is exhibiting The Art of Horror IV through Nov. 13 in the Underground Gallery. Celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Associated Artists of Butler County continues through Nov. 6 with "Art Through the Ages: A Retrospective." The exhibit features about 200 pieces of art by former AABC members dating back to the 1930s. In the Mezzanine Gallery, Aryl Bashline is hosting a display of artwork by her late father, Jimmy Bashline, who was known for his miniature, hand carved "Jay Bee Circus" now on display at the Butler County Heritage Center. In the Members Gallery, Bruce MacDonald of Slippery Rock is displaying a variety of art by his late wife, Jackie Uytenbogaart, the AABC's first executive director. Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., will host a "Shichi-Go-San" or "7-5-3" program from 10 to 11 a.m. Nov. 14. The program marks a Japanese children's festival that celebrates girls who are age 3, boys who are age 5, and girls and boys who are age 7.
