Vincent J. Nielsen

Vincent J. Nielsen, 69, of Butler, formerly of West Deer Township, died Thursday.

He was born Feb. 5, 1948, in Pittsburgh, to the late Victor C. and Genevieve Janis Nielsen.

Vince grew up in West Deer Township and attended West Deer High School.

He worked for American Bridge in Lawrenceville.

He enjoyed trivia, listening to the oldies and reading. While he was a resident at Sunnyview, Vince enjoyed arts and crafts and attending church services.

Survivors include his brothers, Victor Nielsen Jr. of Mercer and Derrick Chapman of England; his sisters, Jennie (Kenny) Carr and Mary Troyan, both of Butler; his niece, Charlotte Nielsen and her husband, Larry; and nephews, Wayne (Barb) Nielsen, Vincent L. Nielsen, Alan (Emily) Troyan, Brad (Kylie) Troyan and Steven and David Chapman.

NIELSEN — A private family blessing service was held for Vincent J. Nielsen, who died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017. He will be privately buried at Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry.

Arrangements are being handled by SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, West Deer Township.
