Betty Lou 'Tootie' Zitzman

Betty Lou “Tootie” Zitzman, 78, of Saxonburg passed away Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 18, 1935, in Garbers Ferry, Pa., and was the daughter of Nelson and Beatrice Blewitt Gamble.

Tootie had worked as a harvester for the Butler County Mushroom Farm. She was a member of the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church and the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed puzzles, games and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her brother, Charles (Mary Ann) Gamble of Saxonburg, her sister, Dolores Maze of Saxonburg and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond J. Zitzman on Jan. 27, 2002; three sisters, Jane Cook, Joan Carrier and Peggy Perine; and two brothers, Jim Gamble and Denny Gamble.

ZITZMAN — Friends of Betty Lou “Tootie” Zitzman, who passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.Funeral services will follow at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. David Brewer officiating. Interment will follow in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church, P.O.
