Fisher

Edward Fisher, 65, of Chicora, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023.

He was born in Butler on Aug. 21, 1957, the son of the late Loyal Clifford and Genevieve Magdolina (Carbon) Fisher.

Edward was a hardworking and driven man, who built a beautiful life for himself with the love and support of his parents. He started Fishers Auto Body with his brother before spending almost 35 years in the heat-treating field, first at Thermo Jet, then at Team Industrial Service. He went on to found and manage Heat treating, which is where he finished out his career.

Edward was an active member of AA for 23 years, where he overcame personal hurdles with the help of many friends and family. He enjoyed riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles and always participated in the “Ride for the Cure” events. He also loved building hot rods and spending time with family and friends. He was loved by all who knew him and will be forever missed.

Edward left behind his loving partner in life Jana Rogers. He is also survived by his children; Fay Fisher, Eddie Fisher, Renee “Phoebe” Fisher, Damon Rogers and Aliyah Rogers and his sister Marcella “Sally” Fisher. He was the loving uncle of Beverly, Michelle, Cliff, Lisa, and Larry (Andrea), and great uncle to their children.

Edward was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Aubree Rogers; and his brothers, Joseph and Larry “King” Fisher.

FISHER — Family and friends of Edward Fisher, who died Saturday, March 18, 2023, will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

A blessing service will follow immediately at the funeral home.

Burial will be held privately in St. Wendelin R.C. Cemetery.
