Robert J. Morris

Robert J. Morris Jr., 90, of Butler, formerly Gibsonia, passed away Tuesday.

He was the beloved husband of Eleanor (Fuhr) McCombs Morris and the late Esther G. (Wittmer) Morris; the loving father of Robert J. (Linda) Morris III of Renfrew, Renetta (Dave) Winkler of Lyndora, Kathy (Richard “Doc”) McKissick of Butler, Heidi Morris (John Schlotter) of Butler and Chris Morris of Seattle, Wash.; the brother of Wilson (Sue) Morris, Tim (Betty Ann) Morris, Naomi “Babe” (Gib) Barton and the late Martha Patch; and the proud grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

A World War II U.S. Army Air Corp veteran, Robert was a supervisor with Bell Telephone for many years.

He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of Syria Shrine, and he enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and spending time at his camp in Tionesta. Robert was an active member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Butler and served on the Lutheran Church Council for many years.

MORRIS — The family of Robert J. Morris Jr., who died Tuesday, April 7, 2015, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Schellhaas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Butler, with the Rev. Alden W. Towberman officiating. Interment will follow in Mt.
