Herman 'Al' Winters
Herman A. “Al” Winters, 68, of Lumar Village, Butler, died Sunday evening at Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Butler, Oct. 3, 1942, a son of the late Herman A. and Mabel Scudder Winters.
Al was an outdoors sportsman, greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a member of the Bassmasters group. He also was well known as an expert pool player in the Butler area and most enjoyed being with his grandchildren and their activities.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy “Debby” Schuller Winters. They were married June 14, 1980. Also surviving are five children, Laurie Winters, Lisa Vozar and her husband, Joseph, Laina Winters, Patrick Winters and Shannon Winters and her fiance, Scott Rourke, all of Butler; two stepdaughters, Jennifer (Paul) Mowery of Butler and Misty (Chad) Goldbach of Slippery Rock; a brother, Paul L. Winters of Butler; 19 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
<B>WINTERS</B> — At the request of Herman A. “Al” Winters, who died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, there will be no visitation. A private memorial service for his family has been held.
