Sankovic

Christine R. Sankovic, 99, of Zelienople, formerly of Glenshaw and Miami, Fla., died Sunday at UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.

Born Dec. 13, 1907, in Brownsville, she was the daughter of Martin and Anna Voytasek.

Mrs. Sankovic had worked in the dietary department at North Hills Passavant Hospital.

She had been an active volunteer at the Vincentian Home and at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami.

She enjoyed sewing, baking and cooking and was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by all.

Surviving are a son, Edward W. Sankovic and his wife, Marion, of Zelienople; two daughters, Helen I. Warren and her husband, Robert, and Connie Sankovic, all of Wexford; a daughter-in-law, Beverly Sankovic of Montana; and a son-in-law, John West of Conneaut Lake. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph William Sankovic, who died Feb. 1, 1954; a son, Joseph "Bob" Sankovic; a daughter, Rosemarie West; four sisters, and two brothers.

Grandview Ave., Zelienople. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople, with the Rev. Robert Miller officiating.
