Robert L. Hartman

Robert L. Hartman, 90, of Zelienople, passed away on Wednesday while under the care of VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

Born Jan. 1, 1929, in Maple Shade, N.J., he was the son of the late Clyde Hartman and Blanche Hill Hartman.

Bob was employed as an electrician at Halstead Manufacturing and retired from Herman Corporation of Zelienople. He did electrical work on numerous homes in Zelienople and the surrounding area.

He enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and puttering around in his workshop. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

Bob leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Margaret (Art) Nestor of Zelienople, Carol Jean Iman of Zelienople, and Robert C. (Karilyn) Hartman of Nashville, Tenn.; his grandchildren, Candace (Jim) Bromley, Rebecca (Kaplan) Yalcin, Michelle Iman and Anthony Iman; his five great-grandchildren, Ashley and Kara Bromley, Shasta and Logan Yalcin, and Ysabeau Iman; his siblings, Helen Dean, Thomas Agnew, Mary Heldreth, Don Agnew, William Agnew, Jack Agnew, and Richard Agnew; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Besma Toney Hartman, who passed away on June 20, 2009; and his siblings, Ronald Agnew, Elma Ecoff, and Larry Agnew.

HARTMAN — Friends of Robert L. Hartman, who died Wednesday, March 27, 2019, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Reid Moon, officiating.Bob will be laid to rest at Pinewood Memorial Gardens in Cranberry Township.The family wishes to express special thanks to VNA Inpatient Hospice and especially to Jonann Dellen, Carol Taylor and Joan Soldner.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Dr., Butler, PA 16001.Online condolences and directions are at www.boylanfuneralhome.com.
