The American Red Cross urges people to donate blood, plasma and platelets, for the chance to receive a $10 Visa Prepaid Card.

Participants also will be automatically entered for a chance to win a $3,000 Visa Prepaid Card.

Book an appointment by visiting RedCrossBlood.org, downloading the Red Cross Blood Donor App or calling 1-800-RED CROSS.

Individuals who are at least 16 years-old, weigh at least 110 pounds and are generally healthy may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
