BUTLER TWP — Pooches are welcome at an event this weekend that supports their abused and neglected cohorts.

The 2nd annual Bark in the Park will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday in the area of the Odd Fellows Gazebo in Alameda Park.

Admission is $10 per person without a dog and $20 with a dog.

All proceeds from the event will benefit One Voice for Abused Domestic Animals, the organization that hired Butler County's humane officer a year ago.

Cindy Menell Dimmick, the vice president of OVADA, said dog owners can walk with their pets through the event, which will include music, a basket auction and a host of vendors.

“Help us help these animals that have no voice of their own,” Dimmick said, “because their lives matter.”
