Marilee Wiseman
Marilee Wiseman (Marilyn Irwin Kress) was born on Sept. 12, 1952. She departed this world peacefully in her sleep on Feb. 24, 2023.
She leaves behind two adult children, Dr. Jeremy Rodgers and Rachael Kress; two grandchildren, Delaney Rodgers and Kain Bailey; as well as five siblings, Patti Emminger, Linda Schwab, David Irwin, Robin Patch and Cheri Greenspring.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carolyn McCanna Irwin and David Irwin; her eldest child, Josh Rodgers; her husband, JR Kress; as well as two of her siblings, Sandy Klingensmith and Cindy Shaumloffel.
Marilee was a 1970 graduate of East Brady High School.
She enjoyed a very fulfilling career in art rehabilitation therapy services. She was a longtime advocate for mental health awareness and she was known for her dedication to the industry.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church at God’s Country, where she was a passionate soul.
She will live on in our memories of her and by remembering the time we were able to spend with her. She had a light that shined brighter than the brightest stars and she will not be forgotten anytime soon. She was a passionate and creative soul, who could no longer be contained by this tiny world, and now she can shine always, with joy and with light. Whenever you see a butterfly flutter past, know that she is somewhere rooting for you.
WISEMAN — A memorial service for Marilee Wiseman (Marilyn Irwin Kress), who died Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist, Crossfire Church, 1802 N. Main St. Ext., Butler, with the Rev. David Janz officiating.
