John “Jack” A. Reynolds

John “Jack” A. Reynolds, 83, died Friday at home surrounded by his loving family.

Jack was born May 14, 1933, in New Kensington to Herta V. Wessner Sawyer and John Andrew Reynolds.

He is loved by his wife June E. Hollenbeck Reynolds; his children, Bill Reynolds, Bob (Iman) Reynolds, Pam (Jim) Blaser, Patty (Damian) Lindenfelser and Polly (Randy) Reynolds; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her brothers, Edward (Lorraine) Schmitt, David (Andrea) Schmitt and Jimmy Geisler.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; and Herbie Linn, his cousin and his brother.

Jack graduated from Hampton High School, where he played football. He was a member of the Kegger Club and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Korea.

Jack was a proud business owner of J.A. Reynolds Co., industrial control systems, for more than 25 years, before retiring. Jack was respected by his employees; longtime friendships continue.

Jack is now at peace from a longtime battle with rheumatoid arthritis and heart failure.

The family wants to express great gratitude to our sister, Polly, as Jack's caregiver, the VNA and Hospice of Indiana County, and all who care.

REYNOLDS — In keeping with the wishes of John A. Reynolds, who died Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, there will be no public viewing.Arrangements have been entrusted to the Shumaker Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.
