Carol Ann (Swain) Rozic, 85, of Austintown, Ohio, formerly of Sewickley, Pa., passed away peacefully in Youngstown on Friday, March 10, 2023.

Born Dec. 19, 1937, in Ambridge, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Norbert L. Swain Sr. and Eva Esther Carpenter Swain. Carol graduated from Ambridge High School in 1955 and later received her education in nursing and radiology at the Sewickley Valley Hospital. She was a longtime St. James Roman Catholic Church member in Sewickley, Pa.

Carol was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Carl; a brother and sister-in-law, Norbert L. (Audrey) Swain Jr.; a sister, Esther Joan Swain; a father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward J. and Anna (Valko) Rozic; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Edward J. Jr. (Betty) Rozic.

Carol is survived by her three children, Sharon (Ron) Muko, of Owings, Md., Michael (Tina), of Austintown, Ohio, and Jennifer (Michael) Rozic-Pierce, of Greenville, S.C. She also is survived by her four grandchildren, Julia and Elizabeth Muko, and Matthew and Brendan Rozic; one sister and brother-in-law, Leola (James) of Latrobe, Pa.; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Caroline (Francis) Yetso of Nipomo, Calif.; as well as many nephews, nieces and close friends.

ROZIC — At Carol’s request, there will be no public viewing for Carol Ann (Swain) Rozic, who died Friday, March 10, 2023. A private family service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the American Lung Association.
