Phyllis A. Schnur, 71, of East Butler, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Sept. 3, 1951, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Nick and Justine (Vandal) Codispot.

She was a formerly employed by Natili’s Restaurant, Heckett’s and Butler YMCA, from where she retired, and currently was working for University Korner.

She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Michael Church.

Surviving are her sons, Rich and Chad (Kimberly) Schnur; her stepdaughter, Deanna Devereaux (Rob Fogleman); grandchildren, Matt (Shontell) Pritts, Bethany (Tony) Burzese, Summer Schnur and Lacee Schnur; nine great-grandchildren; and her sister, Mary Sue (Chris) Codispot Detrick.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald “Jerry” Anthony Schnur who passed away Aug. 25, 2008, and her brother.

SCHNUR — Friends of Phyllis A. Schnur, who died Friday, March 10, 2023, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

A blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Interment will be held privately.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
