Laura L. Brochi

Laura L. Brochi, 88, of Rockdale, Texas, formerly of Greenock, Pa., and Butler, was called to be with her heavenly father Thursday at Little River Health Care in Rockdale after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's.

Laura was a retired nurse at McKeesport Hospital.

Laura was born July 4, 1927, in Pittsburgh. She was the daughter of John and Dora (Ransick) Luppe.

Before moving to Texas, Laura was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Greenock and the Trinity Lutheran Church in Butler. Laura was entirely devoted to her love of God, family and friends.

Laura was the wife of the late James A. Brochi. She is survived by her three sons, Barry Lee Drandakis and his wife, Beth, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., David J. Brochi of Mumford, Tenn., and Paul A. Brochi and his wife, Marivel, of Round Rock, Texas. Laura has eight grandchildren, Damon, Ben and Amanda Drandakis, David Brochi, Tammy Cuppett, Dana Page, Velandra Corina Brochi and Adrian James Brochi; 12 great-grandchildren; her brother, Frank Luppe and his wife, Florene, of Clarksville, Tenn.; two dear sisters-in-law, Kathryn and Allene Luppe; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Laura was predeceased by her parents; her stepmother, Laurabelle Luppe; her infant brother, Robert; her brothers, John and Charles Luppe; her sister, Helen and her husband, Harold (Hump) Campbell; and her niece, Dee Karon.

BROCHI — Funeral services for Laura L. Brochi, who died Thursday, April 28, 2016, will be from noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. Friday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St, Butler, with the Rev. Joel Benson of the Trinity Lutheran Church officiating.Laura will be laid to rest next to the love of her life, James Adrian Brochi, at the Jefferson Memorial Park, Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh.For more information, visit www.youngfuneralhomes.com.
