Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St., Harmony, will host an antique gun show Aug. 10 with an array of guns, swords and accouterments (many for sale) representative of those that contributed to the settlement of the “Ohio Country.” Displays will primarily feature civilian and military long arms and pistols, with an emphasis on the American longrifle. Heinz History Center, 1212 Smallman St., presents “Hero Dogs” exploring the history of canines in the Civil War while also welcoming dozens of local service, working, and therapy dogs from agencies throughout the region.
