Cranberry hosts hazardous waste collection event
Cranberry Township will host a household hazardous waste collection with Noble Environmental on Saturday, March 18
The event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cranberry Township Public Works Building on Route 19. Hazardous chemicals and electronics will be collected on site, with some exceptions.
Acceptable chemicals will include automotive products, cleaning products, lawn and garden products, paint and workshop products, pesticides, all types of batteries, all types of light bulbs or tubes, flammables and kitchen and pool chemicals.
For electronics, the event will collect computers, laptops, phones, printers, window air conditioning units, dehumidifiers, miniature refrigerators, microwaves, gaming devices and any electronic device with a cord, screen or circuit board.
Ammunition, explosive materials, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, compressed gas cylinders, tires, pharmaceuticals, syringes, medical waste and devices containing mercury will not be accepted.
