Garrett “Gorb” Mauthe, 47, of Portersville, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023.

He was born in Butler on Dec. 6, 1975, and was the son of Martin and the late Mary (Fair) Mauthe.

Garrett was a crane technician for almost 10 years. He worked at LDC Industry and Howland Industry.

He was known for being a great father, hard-working, loving, funny and the life of a party. Garrett enjoyed working, kayaking, hiking and being outdoors. He was loved and will be forever missed.

Garrett was the loving fiancé of Tina Windhorst; father of Brittany (Cody) Gilbert, Colton Mauthe and Kirsten Mauthe; and brother of Virginia (Randy) Neff, Yolanda Mauthe, Shawnee (Rick) Neff and Noblee Mauthe. He also is survived by two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Norma Eng.

MAUTHE — Family and friends of Garrett “Gorb” Mauthe, who died Sunday, March 5, 2023, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home.
