Benjamin Neff
Benjamin C. Neff, 83, of Chicora, died on March 7, 2023, at Sunnyview Home in Butler, following a short illness.
He was born on May 24, 1939, in North Oakland, Chicora, and was the son of the late Herman Neff and the late Mary Agnes Angert Neff.
He married Linda Marie Thomas Neff on Feb. 14, 2004. She died March 22, 2005.
He is a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Mr. Neff worked as a welder for 19 years for Pullman Standard in Butler, until the plant closed. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed baseball, football, hunting, camping and family times.
He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in North Oakland, Chicora.
He is survived by one daughter, Tracy Brink and Eric Furl; a son, Brian Neff and Tina Myers; a stepson, Patrick and Debbie Neff; his grandchildren, Kiley Brink, Megan Brink, Elizabeth Neff, Jessica Neff, Nathan Devore and Austin Neff; one great-granddaughter, Allison Codispot; and one new great-granddaughter, Megyn Riley.
He was the last surviving member of his family of nine brothers and one sister. He was preceded in death by a son, Chad Neff, who died April 9, 2008.
NEFF — Friends of Benjamin C. Neff, who died Tuesday, March 7, 2023, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Church, North Oakland, with the Rev. Lou Pascazi officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, North Oakland, Chicora.
