Tornado touched down in Cranberry, Seven Fields area
A class EF-0 tornado with winds reaching up to 70 miles per hour touched down in the Cranberry Township/Seven Fields area Monday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
A Twitter post from NWS Pittsburgh said a survey concluded the tornado touched down, and reached wind speeds of up to 70 miles per hour near Mount Pleasant and Dean Roads.
The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for the areas of Bakerstown, Mars and Valencia at 2:58 p.m. Monday, which was in effect until 3:15 p.m. It issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Butler at 2:55 p.m., which was in effect until 3:30 p.m.
