Donald E. Flinner

Donald Edward Flinner, 72, of Lancaster Township, Prospect, died unexpectedly of natural causes Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Lancaster Township, Prospect, March 6, 1938, he was the son of Donald Boyd Flinner and Margaret Mary Lunn Flinner.

He retired in 1996 from American Plating, Zelienople.

He was a Catholic.

He was an Air Force veteran.

He enjoyed playing the accordion since the age of 14 and played for square dances for many years. He was a fourth generation of musicians who played for square dances. He enjoyed cutting firewood, being with his family and spending time with his Schnauzer, Max.

Surviving are two daughters, Cindy L. Flinner of Prospect and Lisa A. Flinner of Prospect; and a son, Kevin R. Flinner of Prospect.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia R. Cole and Sister Mary Donald.

<B>FLINNER</B> — Services for Donald Edward Flinner, who died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, will be private. There will be no viewing or visitation.Arrangements were under the direction of the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, Slippery Rock.
