Mary Vandevort
Mary Lydon Vandevort, 63, of Sarver died Wednesday at her home.
Born Aug. 19, 1944, in County Galway, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Delia Sullivan Lydon.
She was a nurse's aide and a hospice care volunteer for the Butler VNA.
Mrs. Vandevort was a member of the Emory Chapel United Methodist Church in Sarver, where she belonged to the Christian Women.
She enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and traveling to Ireland.
Surviving are her husband, Edward Vandevort, whom she married Sept. 10, 1965; her daughters, Lisa (Ed) Crist and Shannon (Ken) Waldron, both of Sarver; her siblings, Ann (Dave) Connolly, Bridget (Enda) Kilbane and Patrick (Marian) Lydon, all of County Galaway, Ireland; and five grandchildren, Madison and Morgan Crist and Rachael, Rebecca and Julia Waldron.
<B>VANDEVORT</B> — Friends of Mary Lydon Vandevort, who died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.
