Donald K. Nowakowski

Donald K. Nowakowski, 85, of Rostraver Township died Wednesday at home.

Born Nov. 10, 1931, in Butler, he was the son of the late Peter and Mona Hawks Nowakowski.

Don was a self-employed businessman, operating the D & S Market in Rostraver Township. He was a very faithful member of the Fells United Methodist Church. He was a loving husband and kind-hearted father who was generous to all.

He is survived by his children, Cynthia (Fred) Greenwood, Sandra Hoffman, Donald (Debbie) Nowakowski, Laurie (Andy) Meshanko, Ronald (Tina) Nowakowski and Scott (Missy) Nowakowski; his grandchildren, Ronald A. Nowakowski Jr., Joseph E. Nowakowski, A.J. Meshanko Jr., Adam D. Meshanko, Luke D. Meshanko and Lilyann J. Meshanko; his great-grandson, Kyle Greenwood; his brother, Daryl (Karen) Nowakowski; his sister, B.K. Randolph, and John McPherson; his sisters-in-law, Judy Nowakowski, Freda (Fred) Allen and Linda (Burke) Sinclair; his sister-in-law, Pam (Mark) Shepler; his brother-in-law, Bill (Susie) Chapman; and his special and dear friend Dolores Neth.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Chapman Nowakowski; his grandson, Tim Greenwood; and his brothers, William Nowakowski and Gerald Nowakowski.

NOWAKOWSKI — Friends of Donald K. Nowakowski, who died Wednesday, July 12, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the James C. Stump Funeral Home, 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township, where a funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Bruce Merritt officiating. Interment will follow at the Fells Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Fells United Methodist Church, 1268 Fells Church Road, Belle Vernon, PA 15012.
