FRANKLIN TWP — The Jennings Environmental Education Center will host the program "Birds of Prey" with educators from the National Aviary of Pittsburgh at 2 p.m. Sunday at the center, 2951 Prospect Road.

This program features a multimedia presentation and live eagles, hawks, and falcons.

BUTLER TWP — Lifesteps will host free Child Check developmental screenings for children age 5 and younger from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at Harmony United Presbyterian Church, Route 8, Harrisville, and from 9 a.m. to noon Friday at Dutilh United Methodist Church, Dutilh Road, Cranberry Township.Each screening takes about 30 minutes and results will be discussed with parents immediately.Appointments are recommended. The Reality Tour, a drug awareness program for youth and their parents, will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Butler YWCA, 120 W. Cunningham St.The program will portray a day in the life of a drug addict, including a visit to the Butler Prison and an emergency room overdose scene.The tour is open to children 10 and older when accompanied by a parent or guardian.Registration forms are available at www.realitytour.org.

Orders are now being accepted for a box lunch sale sponsored by the Butler County 4-H Travel Club.Cost is $5 for a ham and cheese sandwich, macaroni salad, dessert and fruit. Orders will be delivered on Jan. 13.To order, call Sandy Cox at 724-865-9003 by Friday.
