The Junior Women's Club of Butler recently elected

Maria Blose as its president for the 2005-06 club year. The theme for the year is "Take Time to Make a Difference."Other officers include first vice president

Dawne Skerbetz and assistant treasurer Kris Hofer.Blose joined the club in 1987. Since that time she has served as assistant treasurer, treasurer, corresponding secretary, first vice president, parliamentary advisor, and chairwoman for friendship and social committee, community service, arts, newsletter, Twilight Magic Auction, and Holly Berry House and consignment.She has also served as the newsletter and directory chairman for the national level of the General Federation of Women's Clubs.Away from the club, Blose is employed full-time at Shenango Advance Ceramic in New Castle as the manager of quality and silicon carbide technologies. She has a long history of working in the manufacturing environment as an engineer and manager.She resides in Butler with her husband, Paul Blose, and their three sons. She is a member of the Butler Goal Getter's Scholastic Soccer Booster Organization.The Junior Women's Club of Butler meets the third Monday of each month at LifeSteps.
