ZELIENOPLE — Lifesteps, in collaboration with PA Pathways and Butler County Early Care and Education Council, will host the 11th annual Building Bridges for Children Conference for early childhood providers from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 7 at the American Legion Hall, West New Castle Street.The conference features presenters from Butler County Children's Center. Seminars include "Building Early Reading and Writing Skills," "Childhood Illness" and "Including Children with Autism in the Child Care Setting."Early childhood providers interested in attending should contact Marcia Koerner at 724-283-1010.

SAXONBURG — The activities department of Saxony Health Center, 223 Pittsburgh St., will host a breakfast with the Easter Bunny and Easter egg hunt from 9 to 11 a.m. March 8.The program is free for children and participants must be accompanied by a parent.Reservations are required by calling 724-352-9445.Applications offered for scholarshipApplications are being accepted for the Frank W. Preston Memorial Scholarship.Applications are available in guidance offices at Butler County high schools. SCOTT TWP — Abenefit bingo will be held March 9 at Scott Township Fire Department, 3712 Harlansburg Road, to benefit Laurel High School junior Colton Myers, who has been battling Aplastic Anemia, a disorder that prevents the production of red blood cells, white blood cells or platelets.Doors will open at noon and bingo games will begin at 1:30 p.m. A Chinese auction and 50/50 raffle will also be held.For information, call 724-530-2235 or 724-652-6220.
