FREEPORT — The Freeport Library is accepting clean, usable household items for a fundraising rummage sale on Saturday. The sale, which also will feature baked goods, is set for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with presale days from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

An informational tea for girls interested in participating in the Butler County Dairy Princess pageant is set for 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the home of Linda Moser, 471 Center Drive, Chicora.The tea is for those who wish to compete for the dairy princess title or participate as dairy maids, dairy misses and junior misses.Princess contestants must be at least 16 years old by July 1 and not reach their 24th birthday before Dec. 31. They must not have ever been married or have children. Contestants must be a daughter, granddaughter, niece or sister of a dairy farmer or someone employed in the dairy industry, or own at least two dairy animals.For more information, contact Linda Moser at 724-285-4179.

The Nurses Alumni of Butler Memorial Hospital will hold a social hour from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. preceding its annual banquet May 2 at Grand Ballroom, 201 S. BUTLER — A Families Forever Seminar, offered by Lifesteps and Family Services of Butler Memorial Hospital, is set for 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 12 at Lifesteps, 383 New Castle Road.The seminar will address ways to minimize the negative effects of divorce and custody battles on children.Groups will be available for parents and children in grades one through six.To register, call 724-283-1010.Woman's club hosts fashion showThe Penn Township Woman's Club will host a fashion show and lunch April 12 at the Butler Country Club.Doors will open at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon.
