FREEPORT — The Freeport Library is accepting clean, usable household items for a fundraising rummage sale on Saturday. The sale, which also will feature baked goods, is set for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with presale days from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

An informational tea for girls interested in participating in the Butler County Dairy Princess pageant is set for 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the home of Linda Moser, 471 Center Drive, Chicora.The tea is for those who wish to compete for the dairy princess title or participate as dairy maids, dairy misses and junior misses.Princess contestants must be at least 16 years old by July 1 and not reach their 24th birthday before Dec. 31. They must not have ever been married or have children.
